Studio

Highland Magic is a fibre-art practice rooted in Scottish wool, hand processes and place. From my Crieff-based studio, I make original textile work, spin and dye yarn, and develop projects that follow fibre from flock to finished piece.

The studio is a working space rather than a public venue. I take on selected commissions and bring workshops, demonstrations and fibre-focused walks to galleries, community groups, schools, festivals and other creative spaces.

Commissions

I welcome enquiries for original woven and embroidered work for homes, collections and meaningful occasions. Commissions begin with a conversation about scale, palette, material, place and timescale.

Workshops, demonstrations & walks

I offer workshops, demonstrations and fibre-focused walks for galleries, community groups, festivals, schools and creative organisations.

Sessions can explore weaving, spinning, Scottish wool, natural colour, fibre processing, textile traditions, or the journey from fleece to finished work. Each can be shaped around your group, venue and interests.

Demonstrations and foraging walks are suitable for groups of up to 10. Hands-on workshops are best for up to 6 participants, allowing time for individual guidance and making.

Fees are available on enquiry and are set in line with Scottish Artists Union rates. Travel, materials and any venue-specific requirements can be discussed when planning your session.
